Cayla Ray tabbed AMCC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
GREENSBURG, PA- University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg sophomore Cayla Ray was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for her efforts ending on September, 30
th.
Ray posted a 5-0 record leading the Bobcats to a perfect 3-0 week. She posted a 3-0 mark playing number one doubles with teammate Maria Iovino and won both her singles matches playing in the number three spot.
Pitt-Greensburg won all three of their matches over a three day period and clinched a spot in the conference playoffs and secured the best season in program history.
The Bobcats have one more regular season match, a showdown with defending AMCC champions Penn State Behrend on Saturday, October 6
th. The match is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
