Urban, Spanner pace Bobcats at Franciscan Invite
STEUBENVILLE, Oh: Senior Garrett Urban took third overall and freshman Daniel Spanner took 6
th overall to help lead the Pitt-Greensburg men's cross country team to a runner up finish at today's meet hosted by Franciscan University.
Urban narrowly missed out on a first place finish, coming in a 28:04 just four seconds off the leader. Spanner crossed the finish line at 28:56, continuing his solid freshman campaign.
On the women's side, first-year runner Kelsey Oddis finished fourth overall with a time of 22:38, while teammate Marie Miller checked in at 7
th overall with a time of 23:04. The duo helped lead the UPG women's team to a 4
th place team finish.
Both teams will be off until Oct 17
th, when they travel to Gettysburg College for their final race before the AMCC Championships in Erie, PA on Oct 31
st.
