GREENSBURG, Pa:  For the second consecutive season, the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team will be hosting a home playoff game.  On Saturday, November 2nd, the Bobcats will play host to Franciscan University in an AMCC 1st round playoff matchup.

The Lady Bobcats finished the regular season winning two of their last three games, finishing in 4th place in the AMCC with a 5-4 record.  They closed out regular season play with a 2-1 victory over La Roche College.

Tiffanni Downey leads the Bobcats with 12 goals on the season and teammate Courtney Carroll is second on the team with 6 tallies.  Downey is ranked 5th in the conference among goal scorers.  The Bobcats rely on 1st year goalkeeper Amanda Hydock, who is ranked second in the conference with 140 saves on the season and is tied for third in the AMCC with 3 shutouts.

For Franciscan, the Barons enter the playoffs as the #5 seed with a 5-4 conference record.  They closed out the regular season with a 2-0 victory over Mt. Aloysius.  The Barons are led offensively by Hannah Cook (10 goals) and Jordan Byrley (7 goals).  Goalkeeper Mallory Garthwaite is 4th in the AMCC with 91 saves and is ranked second with 4 shutouts.

Pitt-Greensburg has made the AMCC playoffs each of the last two seasons under second year head coach Chuck Wigle.  Last year's squad had an amazing turnaround after a winless season in 2011.  The 2012 team finished the regular season in third place at 5-3-1 (AMCC) before falling to La Roche, 4-0 in the 1st round of the AMCC tournament.

On their quest for their first ever AMCC championship, the Bobcats will look to advance past the 1st round of the AMCC tournament for the first time since the 2005 season.
