Bobcats Fall to Franciscan 8-1 in Conference Clash
Box Score Greensburg, PA: The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg men's tennis team fell in their second Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest to visiting Franciscan University 8-1.
With the loss Pitt-Greensburg drops to 1-5 on the season and 1-1 in the AMCC. Franciscan improves to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the AMCC.
Pitt-Greensburg scored it's only win of the competition when the doubles team of
Anthony Backowski (Harrison City, PA, Penn Trafford) and
Jeremy Niemiec (Scottdale, PA, Southmoreland) defeated their Baron counterparts 8-6.
Despite a strong effort during singles play, Franciscan finished the day recording all six singles wins.
Pitt-Greensburg travels to D'Youville College on Friday, March 22nd at 6pm to resume AMCC play.
