HUNTINGDON, Pa : The 2014 Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer season came to a close Wednesday afternoon with a loss on the road to Juniata, 3-1.

The Bobcats finish the season 7-10-1 overall and finished AMCC play 3-5-1.  UPG was edged out in a tiebreaker scenario for the 6th and final playoff spot, narrowly missing out on the playoffs for just the first time under 3rd year head coach Chuck Wigle.  The Bobcats reached the 7-win plateau for the 2nd time in 3 seasons after finishing the 2011 season without a win.

On Wednesday, the Eagles and Bobcats played a scoreless first half, with Juniata holding a 6-2 first half advantage in shots. The Eagles got the game's first goal in the 53rd minute when Shayna King put in a ball off a corner kick from Michaela Lacek, giving Juniata a 1-0 lead.

In the 59th minute, senior Ashley Dickey tied the game at 1-1 with just her third goal of her career, and third this season.  Dickey was playing her final game in a Bobcat uniform.

Juniata got back to back goals in the 86th and 87th minutes from Cheyenne Brown to put the game away at 3-1.

Freshman Shannon Edwards made 7 saves in goal for the Bobcats in the loss.
