Women's soccer season ends with 3-1 loss to Juniata
Box Score HUNTINGDON, Pa : The 2014 Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer season came to a close Wednesday afternoon with a loss on the road to Juniata, 3-1.
The Bobcats finish the season 7-10-1 overall and finished AMCC play 3-5-1. UPG was edged out in a tiebreaker scenario for the 6
th and final playoff spot, narrowly missing out on the playoffs for just the first time under 3
rd year head coach Chuck Wigle. The Bobcats reached the 7-win plateau for the 2
nd time in 3 seasons after finishing the 2011 season without a win.Â
On Wednesday, the Eagles and Bobcats played a scoreless first half, with Juniata holding a 6-2 first half advantage in shots. The Eagles got the game's first goal in the 53
rd minute when Shayna King put in a ball off a corner kick from Michaela Lacek, giving Juniata a 1-0 lead.

Ashley Dickey tied the game at 1-1 with just her third goal of her career, and third this season. Dickey was playing her final game in a Bobcat uniform.
Juniata got back to back goals in the 86

th minutes from Cheyenne Brown to put the game away at 3-1.
