Men’s Tennis remain perfect in conference with win over Pitt-Bradford

Box Score GREENSBURG, PA:  The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team picked up their third straight conference win after dispatching branch campus rival Pitt-Bradford by a 6-3 score.  With the victory the Bobcats improve to 3-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference and 6-1 overall.  Bradford falls to 4-2 and 2-1 in conference play.

The Bobcats kicked off the doubles portion, picking up two wins to take an early 2-1 advantage.  The #1 pairing of David Cenkner/Tomas Monti battled to a 9-8 (7-2) victory, followed by a Jeremy Niemiec/Anthony Backowski 8-5 triumph in the #2 spot.

Cenkner (6-2/6-2), Niemiec (6-4/6-2), and Backowski (6-1/6-1) also picked up decisive wins in singles.  Tyler Fox also continued his winning ways in the #5 spot by 6-1/6-1 scores.

Pitt-Greensburg faces off against Franciscan on Saturday, March 5 in Stuebenville, OH.  Saturday's match pits the AMCC's two undefeated teams against each other and will have major play-off implications.
