Geneva slips by Pitt-Greensburg, 2-1
Box Score BEAVER FALLS, Pa: Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer dropped a tough 2-1 decision on the road Wednesday night to Geneva College. The Lady Bobcats fall to 0-2 on the young season while the Golden Tornadoes improve to 1-1.
Geneva got on the board first with a goal in the 11
th minute from midfielder Heidi Mann. The Bobcats came right back in the 16
th minute when junior
Courtney Carroll (Irwin, PA, Hempfield) netted her first goal of the season, evening the score a 1-1.
Freshman Laiton Suders put Geneva ahead for good with a goal in the 32
nd. Suders goal proved to be the difference maker as the Golden Tornadoes held on for a 2-1 victory.
The Bobcats return to Greensburg for their home opener this Saturday when they host PAC foe Bethany College. Game time is set for 1pm.
