Bobcats stumble vs. St. Vincent
Box Score GREENSBURG, PA:Â The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team fell to 0-2 on the early season after dropping a 7-2 decision to Route 30 Rival St. Vincent College.
After a clean sweep of the doubles portion by the Bearcats, UPG would have to wait until the singles matches to pick up their first points.
Tyler Fox (Mt. Pleasant, PA, Southmoreland) would post the Bobcats first win of the evening after defeating SVC's Scott Reichard 6-1, 6-1 in #3 singles.Â
Anthony Backowski (Harrison City, PA, Penn Trafford) would be credited with Pitt-Greensburg's other triumph after a marathon match where he ended on the right end of a 7-6 decision.
The Bobcats will open Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play this weekend as they head onto the road for matches at D'Youville College on Saturday, March 21
st and at Penn State Behrend on Sunday, March 22
