Lady Bobcats topped by Oswego St in season opener, 3-0
Box Score OSWEGO, Ny: The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team dropped its 2015 season opener on the road at Oswego State, 3-0.
The Lakers improve to 1-1 on the season and the Bobcats begin the season 0-1.
The Bobcats new they would be tested by a tough and experience Lakers team, as they started the game with 3 freshmen and 4 sophomores.
Both teams played a scoreless first twenty minutes, until the Lakers broke through off a corner kick to take a 1-0 lead. Another Oswego goal in the 35
th minute made it 2-0 and that's how it would stay going into the half.
In the second frame, Oswego added an insurance goal in the 55
th minute to cap the scoring at 3-0.

Kayleen Schwegler and
Rachel Steinmark each recorded shots on goal and sophomore keeper
Shannon Edwards made 13 saves in goal for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats will return home Sunday to take on the Presidents of Washington & Jefferson College at 4pm. The game will be played on the turf at Latrobe High School.
