Bobcats’ streak stopped by Saint Vincent

Box Score GREENSBURG, Pa:  The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team picked up their first loss of the season after falling 6-3 to the Saint Vincent College on Tuesday.
 
After opening the season 3-0, the loss drops Bobcats to 3-1 with conference play on the horizon.  The Bearcats improve to 4-2.
 
Doubles results proved hard to come by for the Bobcats with SVC earning victories in all three spots.
 
In true fashion of the 2016 squad, Pitt-Greensburg put their best foot forward during the single's portion of play.  #3 Doug Smeltzer (Latrobe, PA, Greater Latrobe) got Greensburg in the win column, earning a straight set (6-4, 6-3) victory followed by wins at #4 and #6.  Izaak Fulmer-Moffat (Derry, Pa, Derry) secured a 6-2, 6-1 #4 triumph along with Michael Meyer's (Pittsburgh, PA, Keystone Oaks) 6-3, 7-5 victory at #6.
 
Pitt-Greensburg now moves into their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference slate, opening this Friday, April 1st as Penn State Behrend travels to Greensburg for a 4:30 contest.
