Women’s Soccer Falls In Road Bout At Washington And Jefferson

WASHINGTON, Pa- In the first road match of the season, the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team lost 4-0 at Washington and Jefferson on Sunday afternoon.

The Presidents struck for two goals in the first half, while Jordan Toohey and Sam Fields each added a goal in the final 45 minutes to give W&J the 4-0 lead.

Similar to the season-opener on Friday afternoon against Bethany, UPG head coach Chuck Wigle started Kaitlyn Watson in the first half of play and went with Shannon Edwards to start the second half.

Each goalie allowed two goals in 45 minutes of action and Watson tallied seven saves while Edwards stopped three attempts.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action on Wednesday evening, when it travels to Highmark Stadium in downtown Pittsburgh to face Chatham. Kickoff for Wednesday's match is set for 7:30 p.m.
