With just over three minutes left in the first stanza, Pitt-Greensburg led 11-6 on a three-pointer by Oddis, but the Lions clamped down on defense and held the Bobcats scoreless for the remainder of the quarter while scoring six straight points and would take a 12-11 advantage into the second quarter.
