@UPG_WBB Drops AMCC Matchup At Pitt-Bradford Saturday Afternoon

BRADFORD- The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team (3-13, 3-6 AMCC) dropped an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup to Pitt-Bradford (7-7, 5-4 AMCC) Saturday afternoon, falling 75-56. 

Kelsey Oddis led the way for the Bobcats with 20 points and 14 rebounds to secure her ninth double-double of the season. Sabre Turner was also in double-digits for Pitt-Greensburg tallying 15 points, four rebounds, and added a steal. Turner came up clutch from the free-throw line, knocking down 11-of-her 12 attempts. 

Three players were in double-figures for Pitt-Bradford, led by Jennifer Isenberg's 20 points and she also grabbed 10 rebounds to record the double-double. Ali Rinfrette, the AMCC's leading scorer coming into the game, totaled 18 points and six rebounds, while Shaelyn Snipes and Etreece Adams added 13 and 11 points respectively. 

The Bobcats did a great job of crashing the boards on both ends of the court, totaling 36 rebounds, 16 of which came on the offensive glass. Pitt-Greensburg turned the 16 offensive boards into 13 second chance points, while the Panthers totaled just eight offensive rebounds and four second chance points. 

Defensively, Pitt-Greensburg forced 21 Pitt-Bradford turnovers, which they turned into 16 points, compared to just 10 for the Panthers. 

Despite the solid performance on the defensive end, the Bobcats struggled to get its offense going, shooting just 23% in the opening half, but improved in the second half to 30%, hitting 9-of-30. 

Pitt-Bradford remained in the lead for the entire 40 minutes Saturday afternoon and would go on for a 75-56 win. 

The Bobcats return to the court Wednesday, when they take to the road to face Penn State Altoona at 8 pm.
