@UPGTennis Takes Down Bethany In Regular-Season Finale

BETHANY, W.Va.- The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team ended the regular-season with a 6-3 win at Bethany in a non-conference match Friday afternoon at the Ewing Tennis Courts. 

The Bobcats end the regular-season on a two-match win streak and move to 3-7 overall and will continue its season at next week's AMCC Tournament, which will be played at Mt. Aloysius College. 

Pitt-Greensburg got off to a quick start taking two of the three doubles matches. Terrance Madarish and Vaughan Hunkele were 8-6 winners at #2 doubles and Michael Rosky and Jeremy Simms, cruised to an 8-1 win at #3 doubles. 

Bethany was victories at the top two doubles positions, but Pitt-Greensburg sealed the win with victories at the final four singles sports. Hunkele overcame an early defecit in the opening set, but rolled to a 6-4, 6-2 straight-set victory to clinch the match for the Bobcats. 


Thomas Clark reeled off a 6-1, 6-1 at #4 singles, while Rosky did not allow a point at #5 singles, crusing to a 6-0, 6-0 win. Simms was also victories at #6 singles, 6-0, 6-2.
