Men's Tennis Defeats Geneva In Regular-Season Finale

BEAVER FALLS- The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team (3-11) earned a 5-4 victory over Geneva (6-9) in the regular-season finale Saturday Afternoon.

Geneva jumped out to a 2-1 lead picking up wins in the top two doubles matches. The pairing of Andrew Oden and Francisco Garcia put the Bobcats on the board recording an 8-6 win at #3 doubles. 

Turner Price and Vaughn Hunkele had their four-match win streak snapped with a tough fought 8-7 loss at #1 doubles. 

Price and Hunkele would get revenge as they each picked up wins in singles play. Price cruised to a 6-1, 3-0 victory over Alex Beck at #1 singles and Hunkele outlasted Drake Greenstein, 4-6, 6-2, 14-12 in the #3 singles match. Terrance Madarish gutted out a three-set win at #4 singles  and Garcia made quick work of Dordan King at #6 singles (6-4, 6-4).
