Men’s Tennis Battles Mt. Aloysius To 5-4 Decision

GREENSBURG- The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to Mt. Aloysius, Sunday afternoon at the Greensburg Racquet Club.

Pitt-Greensburg trailed 2-1 after doubles action with the win coming in the top spot. Turner Price and Vaughn Hunkele battled to an 8-6 victory. Price also would record a win in the top singles spot, 6-2, 6-1.

Francisco Garcia and Kyle Glessner would pull out wins in the final two singles spots, both which came in a third-set tiebreak. Garcia won the opening set 6-4, lost set two, 6-2, but would rally for a 10-8 win in the tiebreak.

After dropping the opening set 6-4, Glessner recovered for a 6-2 win in set two and a 10-5 victory in the tiebreak.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action next weekend for two matches, playing host to Penn State Altoona on Saturday and Penn State Behrend on Sunday.
