Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Falls to Behrend in Penalties

ERIE – For the fourth-consecutive season in was the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team took on the Lions of PS Behrend for the AMCC Tournament Championship and a bid to the NCAA Tournament. As happened last year, the Bobcats and Lions went into extra time. However, even extra time was not enough for a team to get on the board. The team went into Penalties to decide the game and the Bobcats hit a post as well as two saves by Behrend's Riley Morningstar to put the Lions over the edge.

Bobcat junior keeper Paige John had a game to remember as she made 11 saves to keep the Bobcats in it. Freshman Paige Inman led the team with two shots, while Maggie Knorr and Sarah Tonkovich recorded the team's two shots on goal. The Lions recorded 27 shots against the Bobcats while Pitt-Greensburg was able to tally just six.

The Bobcats will look to receive an ECAC bid when the tournament announces its field on Monday.
