Women's Basketball Falls to Wooster

WOOSTER,  Ohio – The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team ran off the Finals Week blues today as they took on Wooster in a non-conference road matchup. The Bobcats were up two after the first quarter but were not able to finish on top as the Fighting Scots took down the Bobcats 80-69.
 
Four Bobcats scored in double figures including a 24-point 11-rebound double-double for sophomore Madison Scalese. Freshman Sarah Penrod also recorded a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Junior Melina Maietta dropped 17 points and dished out six assists and brought down five rebounds. Malina Boord was the final Bobcat in double figures with 14 points while also recording seven rebounds.
 
The Bobcats will have a quick turn around as they will take on the Titans of Westminster on Monday inside Chambers Hall at 2:00 PM.
