Bocats Defeat Wilkes Behind Hickey Goal

Wilkes-Barre, Pa - It was a welcome sight for the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team on Saturday as their leader of returning goal scorers was back in the lineup against Wilkes. Megan Hickey made her presence felt as she scored her first goal of the season in her first half that she has played in 2023. That goal was all the Bobcats needed as they came out victorious 1-0.
 
Hickey came in as a reserve and played 69 minutes for the Bobcats. Sophomore Abby Henise, who scored six goals last season, also ma=de her season debut for Pitt-Greensburg. It was also a special day for Junior Logan Jennings as she was able to take the pitch with her twin sister on the other side for the first time in her collegiate career. Jennings played 82 minutes for the Bobcats, while Jordyn played 90 minutes for Wilkes. 
 
The Bobcats will play again on Sunday as they travel to Carlisle to take on Dickinson. Kickoff will be at 2 pm.
