Women's Soccer Secures Road AMCC Win

CRESSON, PA  - The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over Mount Aloysius in a critical AMCC matchup. After a scoreless first half, UPG came out strong in the second, netting two goals to secure the win at Kelly Field.

Dionna Santia opened the scoring for the Bobcats in the 49th minute, registering her first goal of her collegiate career. Just six minutes later, Riley Gesinski doubled the lead with her third goal of the year. Both goals were unassisted. UPG maintained control throughout, limiting Mount Aloysius to just two shots, only one of which was on goal.

Goalkeeper Paige John recorded her fifth shutout of the season, facing minimal pressure as Pitt-Greensburg dominated both possession and opportunities. The win improves the Bobcat's record to 7-3-4 overall and 3-1-0 in the AMCC. The team will look to carry this momentum into Saturday, October 19th where they host Hilbert College. The weekend slate will hold UPG's Senior Day on Ridilla Field.
