Women's Soccer Plays in Defensive Battle With Juniata

HUNTINGDON, PA — The Pitt-Greensburg Women's Soccer team earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw on the road against Juniata on October 2. Both teams struggled to break through in a defensive contest, with each side recording eight shots but failing to find the back of the net.

Pitt-Greensburg created multiple scoring opportunities, with Sarah Tonkovich leading in shots on goal with two. The Bobcats' defense was equally resilient, as goalkeeper Mia Camps turned away four shots to secure the clean sheet. Corner kicks slightly favored UPG, who earned five compared to Juniata's four, but despite periods of pressure from both sides, neither team could capitalize.

The Bobcats will look to build on their defensive success as they travel to Erie, PA for a critical conference match up with Penn State Behrend. UPG is 1-0-0 in AMCC play heading into the weekend.
