Women's Soccer Takes Down La Roche in AMCC Matchup

The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team secured a 2-0 victory over La Roche on October 23, 2024, at Ridilla Field in Greensburg. With the win, UPG improved to 8-3-3 overall and 4-1-0 in AMCC play, while La Roche dropped to 2-10-1 and 1-4-1 in the conference.

Pitt-Greensburg opened the scoring early, with Sierra Frisoli netting her third goal of the season in the 12th minute, assisted by Riley Gesinski. The Bobcats added an insurance goal in the 85th minute when Reese Walker scored, assisted by Dionna Santia.

UPG dominated possession, recording 29 shots, nine of them on target, and won 12 corner kicks. Defensively, goalkeeper Paige John made three saves to preserve the shutout. La Roche was limited to just four shots, three on target, as UPG controlled the pace of the game.

The Bobcats will aim to continue their strong form as they push forward against Alfred State this Saturday, October 26 in Alfred, NY.
