Women's Basketball Falls to Spartans

GREENSBURG, PA - It was back to work for the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team as they took on Case Western Reserve inside Chambers Hall on Saturday. The Spartans led from start to finish, shooting over 50 percent to take down the Bobcats 90-46.
 
CWRU shot 12-34 from behind the arc, while the Bobcats made just five three-pointers. Sophomore Sarah Penrod and junior Tiana Moracco led the Bobcats in scoring with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Penrod made two of the Bobcats three-pointers, and both came in the second half. Turnovers hurt the Bobcats once again, as CWRU forced 26 turnovers and scored 29 points off those turnovers. The Bobcats recorded seven steals, with Ca'Mari Walden and Autumn Matthews recording two each.
 
The Bobcats won't have much time to recover. The team will return to the Chambers Hall court on Monday, and Penn State Beaver will be visiting. Tip-off will be at 1 p.m.
