Women's Basketball Drops First AMCC Matchup to Altoona

GREENSBURG, PA - The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team was limited to six participants in the team's first AMCC matchup against Penn State Altoona due to injuries. Even with limited numbers, the Bobcats battled and made it a single-digit game within the last two minutes of the final frame but lost 67-56.

Four of the six Bobcats scored in double figures, including junior Tiana Moracco, who scored a team-high 15 points with 13 rebounds. Women's basketball Bobcat of the Week representative freshman Jocelyn Bielak scored 13 points, brought down eight rebounds, and swiped away four steals. Bielak also dished out five assists. Junior Trinity Lockwood-Morris rounded out the three Bobcats who played the full 40 minutes and scored 12 points.
Autumn Matthews, who battled foul trouble for a large part of the game, scored 11 points. Altoona was led by Avana Sayles and Jess Burns, who scored 16 points each. Sales also secured 14 rebounds. Jordan Bisignani also had a strong game on the glass, bringing down 13 rebounds. Madison Rusnica scored ten points as a reserve.
