The Pitt-Greensburg cross country teams delivered standout performances at this weekend's invitational, with David Brokaw capturing the individual title in the men's race and the women's team earning a second-place finish.

Brokaw led the men's field with a dominant run, finishing in 18:25.70—a 90-second personal best. His win marks the third consecutive year that a UPG male runner has won this invitational. William Vaughen also impressed, shaving nearly a minute off his previous best to place third in 19:32.30. Thomas Murawski rounded out the scoring in 13th with a time of 26:12.50.

"Today was the day to be aggressive, and they executed the plan perfectly," said Head Coach Jeremy Eshleman. "I'm really proud of the effort across the board from both men and women."

On the women's side, Trinity Lockwood-Morris ran a gutsy race, finishing second in 21:55.00—also a 90-second PR. She battled throughout with Ella from Carlow, exchanging the lead multiple times in one of the meet's most exciting duels.

Jocelyn Bielak just missed out on a top-10 award, placing 12th in 26:47.00, but still earned a personal best. Victoria Maher posted a season-best 5K time of 27:36.40, while Carinna Darragh broke the 30-minute barrier for the first time, finishing in 29:56.80—another 90-second PR. Laura Vittone also contributed to the team's scoring with a time of 29:24.40.

"Most runners today had PRs," Eshleman added. "We saw a lot of 90-second improvements, which is wild. I'm really looking forward to Gettysburg next week to chase 6K and 8K PRs like we did in the 5K today."
