Softball's Historic Season Comes To End in NCAA Regionals

ANGOLA, Ind. – The historic season for Pitt-Greensburg softball has ended with Wisconsin Eau-Claire defeating the Bobcats in the fourth game of the Angola Regional. The Blugolds took down the Bobcats 4-1.
 
It was Melanie Mienke and Autumn Powell who once again pitched for the Bobcats. Mienke pitched 3.1 innings and suffered the loss, while Powell threw the final 2.2 innings. Five different Bobcats tallied a hit in the game, including a sixth-inning RBI single by sophomore shortstop Hunter Taylor. Eua Claire had eight hits in the game.
 
Pitt-Greensburg ends the season with a 21-19 record and is the first-time AMCC Champion. The 21 wins are the most in program history.
