Spagnolo Makes History in Pitt-Greensburg Women’s Golf Debut

Pitt-Greensburg made history Monday afternoon as Gracie Spagnolo became the first women's golfer in program history to compete for the Bobcats at the Grove City College Women's Fall Invitational.

As Spagnolo represented the Bobcats, she finished with a 102 (+30) to place tied for 29th. She opened her round with a strong start, recording par on the opening hole before continuing through the 18-hole course. She finished the day with three pars.

Spagnolo officially became the first female golfer in Pitt-Greensburg history, establishing a new chapter for Bobcat athletics and laying the foundation for the future of women's golf at the university.

The Grove City College Women's Fall Invitational was won by Grove City's Lauren Kardos, who shot a 78 (+6), while Westminster captured the team championship with a score of 351 (+63).

For Pitt-Greensburg, however, Monday's biggest milestone belonged to Spagnolo, whose first collegiate round marked the beginning of a new program.

Pitt-Greensburg women's golf has officially made its debut.
