Bill Monstrola will enter his third season as the Head Coach of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg softball program. Monstrola has been coaching softball at the collegiate level for the past ten seasons. This will be his fifth season coaching at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.
Last season Monstrola led the Bobcats to the best season in school history, setting a new record for wins with 19. Pitt-Greensburg finished the season with an overall record of 19-18, earned a berth into the AMCC Tournament and had five players earn AMCC All-Conference honors.
Monstrola brings a strong work ethic to the University and is committed to the team's academic and athletic success.
"My goal as Head Coach is to ensure my players are successful in the classroom to prepare them for their chosen profession upon graduation and for them to have great memories of their softball career at the University."
Monstrola attributes the program's recent success in part to this philosophy and believes the dedication of athletes will take them to the next level, both academically and athletically.
Monstrola is a graduate of LaRoche College where he received his Bachelor's Degrees in Interdisciplinary Social Science and Natural Science.
