Chuck Wigle enters his seventh season as head coach of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg's women's soccer program in 2018.

The longest tenured women’s soccer coach at Pitt-Greensburg, Wigle has been instrumental in leading the Bobcats to one of the top programs in the AMCC. He enters the season as the second winningest coach in program history and guide the program to seven or more victories in all but one of his seasons as the helm of the program.

Under his direction, the Bobcats have clinched a berth in the AMCC tournament in five of his six seasons in charge and Wigle was named the AMCC Co-Coach of the year in 2015. This past season in 2017, Pitt-Greensburg broke the program record for goals in a game, with a 10-0 victory against Wilson College.

In 2016, the Bobcats posted a 10-8-2 overall record and earned the no. 2 seed in the AMCC tournament for just the second time in program history with a 7-1-1 record. Pitt-Greensburg earned its first AMCC Tournament semifinal victory with a 2-0 decision against Pitt-Bradford and advanced to the championship game for the first time in school history.

During his six seasons in charge of the Pitt-Greensburg women’s soccer program, 17 players have earned All-Conference accolades and two players were named Newcomer of the Year (Kayleen Schwegler, Jessica Moore).

In just his first season at the helm, Wigle made an immediate impact. After a winless campaign in 2011, Wigle began his tenure in 2012 and proceeded to lead the squad to a 7-8-3 record, which was the fourth largest turnaround among the NCAA Division III ranks for that year. The Bobcats have sustained these lofty standards, securing their second home playoff game after a fourth place finish in 2013.

Wigle served as an assistant coach for the men’s team at Pitt-Greensburg for the 2010,2011, and 2012 seasons.

Wigle’s coaching career began in 1999 when he took over the U-14 Foothills Soccer Club Team. He took over a team that had won just six games the previous year and in his first year at the helm increased the team’s winning total to 12 in just one season. In 2003 he led his Foothills squad to the PA West State Championship game.

In 2001 Wigle was named the Assistant Boys Varsity Soccer Coach and Head Junior Varsity Coach at his alma mater Penn Trafford High School and helped lead the varsity program to three section titles during his tenure. He also spent two seasons as the assistant coach of the Penn’s Forest Soccer Club’s U-16 program, where he played an integral role in the programs second ever PA West Championship.

Wigle, a 1999 graduate of local St. Vincent College was a team captain of the Bearcat men’s soccer squad in both the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
