Brody Jackson enters his fourth season as head coach of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s men’s basketball program in 2020.

In his third season leading the Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball program, Jackson was named the AMCC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year after guiding the Bobcats to its first 20-win campaign since the 1999-00 season. UPG posted a 20-9 overall record and earned the no. 2 seed in the AMCC Tournament. Under his direction, the squad posted the best start (7-1) and final winning percentage (.769) since joining the NCAA in 1997. The team went 12-1 on their home court, which is the best home record in 14 years. The Bobcats were rewarded for their success with Matt Johnson (First Team), Cam Seigfreid (Second Team), and JoJo France (3rd Team) all earning All-Conference accoclades. Seigfreid became the newest member of the 1,000-point club for the Bobcats with a seven point, eight rebound effort against Medaille.

Jackson made immediate strides in his first season at the helm, guiding the team to a six-win improvement, as well as five victories against AMCC opponents. Jackson earned his first career win with a victory over Penn State Fayette.

With just one senior and two upperclassman dawning a Bobcat uniform, Jackson’s squad quickly became one of the league’s top defensive teams, holding opponents to just 40.8% shooting from the field, which led the conference and also set a new single-season program record. The Bobcats also ranked as one of the top teams defensively in terms of blocks, as they ranked second in blocks-per-game (4.6), which also tied the single-season school record.

The lone senior on the team, Joe Mancini blossomed under Jackson’s coaching, setting career-highs in points (10.6), field goals (83), three-pointers (71), rebounds (3.6), and assists (2.0). Mancini knocked down seven three-pointers at Pitt-Bradford, which ranked as the second most 3-PT FG in a single-game and concluded the 2017-18 season with the second most three-pointers in a single-season (71).
Jackson arrived at Pitt-Greensburg after six seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Mount Union, working with Head Men's Basketball Coach Mike Fuline.

As a member of the Mount Union men's basketball coaching staff, Jackson has contributed to the team's accomplishments that include an NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearance, an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) regular season title, an OAC Championship Tournament title, and six new school records, including points scored in a season as well as three-pointers made in a game and season.

Jackson got an early taste of that success in his first season when the Purple Raiders upset second-seeded Capital University and advanced to the 2014 OAC Championship for the third time in the school's history and its first appearance since 2004.

An experienced recruiter, Jackson saw his efforts come to fruition through the team's achievements during the 2014-15 season: Mount Union captured its first OAC tournament title since 1997 and advanced to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Division III men's basketball tournament.

Jackson's guidance contributed to the Purple Raiders compiling a 90-49 overall record and having eight players earn All-OAC honors, including DeAllen Jackson, the 2017 OAC Player of the Year. As a member of the coaching staff, Jackson also contributed to Mount Union posting the most wins ever in a five-year period and back-to-back 20-win campaigns for the first time in program history.

His prior experience includes serving three years as a head coach at Middlesex and Rappahannock high schools in Virginia, as well as working as a special education teacher and camp counselor.

A native of Akron, OH, Jackson was a three-year starter at Bethany College (WV) where he led the Bison to three Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) titles. He continues to be ranked among the top-10 basketball players in Bison history holding records in assists, three-pointers, three-point percentage, free-throw percentage, and games played.

Jackson graduated from Bethany College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and recently earned a master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
