Volleyball battles out of 2-0 hole to record first victory of the season
GREENSBURG, PA- Jamie Barkman tallied a career high 17 kills and six blocks as Pitt-Greensburg battled back from a 2-0 set hole to defeat Chatham University 3-2 (21-25, 24-26, 25-15, 25-12, 15-12) Tuesday evening in Chambers Hall Gymnasium.
Pitt-Greensburg picks up its first win of the season and improves their overall record to 1-14.
Barkman set two career highs on the evening setting personal bests with 17 kills to go along with six blocks. Freshman Erika Spina handed out a season best 25 assists to pace the Bobcat offensive attack.
Nika Simonson added 13 digs on the defensive side of the net.
Pitt-Greensburg returns to action when they host division II opponent Pitt-Johnstown on Thursday, September 20
th in Chambers Hall. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
