GREENSBURG, Pa:  Pitt-Greensburg's Max Paolone got the Bobcats on the board first after he scored off a rebound in the 4th minute of the game, giving UPG an early 1-0 lead.

The two teams engaged into a physical first half battle, with each team exchanging early scoring chances.  The Bobcats fell victim to an unfortunate bounce after UPG keeper Alex Guie made a tremendous save on a close range shot, the ball deflected right to Juniata's Evan Decker who was able to sneak the rebound just past a sprawling Guie.

The teams entered the half knotted at 1-1, with Juniata edging UPG in shots 10-4 while the Bobcats held the edge in corner kicks, 2-1.
Just five minutes into the second half, Juniata's Evan Decker scored his second goal of the game, again coming off a rebound from a diving Alex Guie, giving Juniata a 2-1 lead.

Play started to get chippy midway through the second half and both teams were issued a yellow card. In the 68th minute, Juniata's Robby Higgins found some space at the top left side of the box and was able to fire a shot far post past Guie to extend the Eagles' lead to 3-1.

The Bobcats were unable to generate enough offense to get within striking distance, and ultimately fell by the 3-1 final.

Guie finished the day making 9 saves in goal for the Bobcats, and certainly kept his team in the game.

UPG will look to bounce back when they host Pitt-Bradford in an AMCC contest this Saturday (Oct 19) at 1pm.
