Men's soccer drops road contest to Medaille, 2-0

BUFFALO, Ny: The Pitt-Greensburg men's soccer team lost a 2-0 decision on the road at Medaille College Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks got on the board in the 18
th minute courtesy of a Cory Carter goal off of a corner kick. Medaille registered 7 corner kicks in the first half and 11 in the game.
UPG struggled to find offense, only registering 3 shots on the day. The two teams went into the half with Medaille holding a 1-0 lead.
Play remained scoreless until the 75
th minute when Carter tallied his second goal of the game, giving Medaille a commanding 2-0 lead with just 15 minutes remaining.
The Bobcats were unable to get anything going offensively for the second consecutive game, falling in each of the last two contests by the score of 2-0.

Alex Guie combined to make 13 saves on the afternoon in the defeat.
The loss drops UPG to 3-15 overall and 2-6 in the AMCC. Pitt-Greensburg will close out the season this Tuesday (Oct 29) with a home contest against La Roche College. The game is scheduled for 6pm at Hempfield High School in Greensburg, PA
