Paolone scores late game-tying goal, but Bobcats fall in overtime to Geneva, 2-1

Max Paolone scored his first goal of the season in the 84
th minute Monday night to force overtime, but it was Geneva who scored the game's final goal in the second overtime, propelling the Golden Tornadoes to a 2-1 victory.
Geneva got a goal from Sean Bernardi in the 35
th minute to get the scoring starting. The Tornadoes took that 1-0 advantage into halftime, outshooting the Bobcats 7-3 in the first frame.

Brandon Galley kept the Bobcats in the game, making 5 saves and giving his team a chance to find that equalizing goal. Paolone's goal with just under 7 minutes to play gave the Bobcats a boost of momentum heading into the overtime period.
Unfortunately, the Bobcats came up empty in overtime, failing to register a shot after regulation. Shortly into the 2
nd overtime period, Geneva's Alexander Rosenbaum scored his third goal of the season to give the Tornadoes the 2-1 victory.
On the evening, Geneva outshot UPG 23-6 while also holding a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Pitt-Greensburg (1-8) will now turn its focus to the AMCC as they open up conference play at home this Saturday (Sept 28) against D'Youville College at 1pm.
