Yellow Jackets pull away in second half to down Bobcats

WAYNESBURG, Pa:  Pitt-Greensburg hung tough for 45 minutes against a tough Waynesburg squad, but the Yellow Jackets used a fury of second half goals to pull away from UPG, 6-0 Wednesday night.

Both teams exchanged scoring chances in the first half, and while the Yellow Jackets outshot UPG, the Bobcats held the advantage in corner kicks 2-0.

The two teams went into the half in a 0-0 tie, but it was the Yellow Jackets who made the most second half adjustments.
 
Waynesburg got on the board early in the second half when Anthony MacIntyre and James Sneed put in back to back headers just 3 minutes apart, giving the Yellow Jackets a quick 2-0 lead.  From there the Yellow Jackets kept on the pressure and cruised to an easy 6-0 victory. 

Jake Lauderbaugh (Aliquippa, PA, Hopewell) and Max Paolone (Pittsburgh, PA, Allderdice) each recorded a shot on goal and keeper Max Paolone (Pittsburgh, PA, Allderdice) played all 90 minutes in net, making 6 saves.

Pitt-Greensburg (0-3) will return to Ridilla Field on Saturday for the home opener of the 2013 campaign.  The Bobcats will host Case Western Reserve In a non-conference matchup starting at 1pm.
