ERIE, Pa: Wednesday's unusual mid-week trip to Penn State Behrend was one the Bobcats will soon hope to forget, as they fell on the road to the Lions, 97-62.

The Bobcats fall to 9-6 in the AMCC and 11-11 overall, while Behrend improves to 12-3 in league play and 18-4 overall.

Not much went right for UPG on Wednesday, after Jarrett Shannon gave the Bobcats a 2-0 less than a minute into the game, the Lions would go on a furious 17-0 run to pull away early.  Behrend would shoot over 54% from the floor in the first half while holding the Bobcats to a mere 30% (7 of 23) shooting and just 1-8 from three point range.  The Lions took a commanding 51-21 lead into halftime.

The Bobcats played a much better second half, shooting over 46% from the floor and nearly doubling their point total, scoring 41 points in the second 20 minutes.  However the first half hole was just too steep for UPG to overcome.

Rocco Contristano led the Bobcats Wednesday night, scoring 12 points and grabbing 4 rebounds.  Behrend's Nick DeLisio had a game high 19 points to pace the Lions.

UPG currently sits tied for the #4 spot in the AMCC standings with 3 games remaining.  The Bobcats will next travel to Buffalo, NY this Saturday for a rematch with current top seeded Hilbert College.  The Hawks won the previous matchup 90-82 in Greensburg back on Jan 19th.

With a win this Saturday over Hilbert and a Mount Aloysius loss, the Bobcats will lock up a playoff spot in the AMCC tournament.
