Volleyball swept on day one of La Roche Invite

Box Score 2 PITTSBURGH, Pa: Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball dropped a pair of non-conference contests on Friday night, falling to Waynesburg 3-1, and Bluffton 3-0. The games were hosted by AMCC foe, La Roche College.
The Lady Bobcats played Waynesburg tough early on, falling in a close first set, 25-20 before evening the match with a win, 25-21 in the second set. The Yellow Jackets would finish with the upper hand on this night, winning the final two sets, and earning the victory. UPG was led by
Lauren Tassone (Venetia, PA, Peters Township) who registered 6 kills, and
Paige Misawic (Levittown, PA, Pennsbury) who had 15 assists.
Erica Bosh (Pittsburgh, PA, Keystone Oaks) had a team high 22 digs on the defensive end.
In the nightcap, Bluffton cruised past Pitt-Greensburg in 3 sets.
Renee' Ault (Oakmont, PA, Riverview) led the Bobcats with 5 kills while Misawic added another 8 assists.
Pitt-Greensburg (0-6) will move on to day two of the La Roche Invite on Saturday when they take on Washington and Jefferson at 11:00am.
