GREENSBURG, PA: The Pitt-Greensburg volleyball team won their second match of the year against non-conference opponent Chatham University. This was their second victory over the Cougars in the past two weeks, having swept them 3-0 in Chambers Hall back on October 19th.
Pitt-Greensburg jumped off to an early lead winning set one with a score of 25-17, but Chatham would bounce right back and win set two 25-23. It would be all Pitt-Greensburg after that as they won set three with a score of 25-17 and won the match in set four with a score of 25-18.
The offense provided by Pitt-Greensburg was led by freshman Autumn Karlheim and junior Paige Misawic. Karlheim led the team with 10 kills, while Misawic assisted on 19 of the Bobcat's total kills. She would also add 2 service aces. Sophomore Erica Bosh added 2 service aces as well and junior Renee Ault also added an ace.
Tonight's defense was led by several players. Ault led the team with 13 digs, while senior Kara Barclay and Misawic were right behind collecting 10 and 9 digs respectively. Freshman Megan Kirkpatrick led the team in blocks with 4; while freshman Chloe Seiler tallied 3 blocks and sophomore Amanda Ross tallied 2.
Pitt-Greensburg will conclude their season on Saturday afternoon when they take on D'Youville College in a home conference match. Come out and support senior Kara Barclay and the rest of the Bobcats on Senior Day. The match begins at 1pm.
