Volleyball overpowered at McDaniel tri-match

Box Score 2 WESTMINSTER, Md: It was a rough afternoon for the Pitt-Greensburg volleyball team as they dropped two matches Saturday at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. The Bobcats squared off against a pair of strong opponents in Gallaudet University and McDaniel College.
In the first match, Pitt-Greensburg fell in three consecutive sets against Gallaudet University with scores 25-6, 25-10, and 25-14. Freshman
Autumn Karlheim (Patton, PA, Cambria Heights)provided the most offense for the Bobcats tallying 4 kills, while Junior
Paige Misawic (Levittown, PA, Pennsbury) collected 6 assists. Sophmore
Erica Bosh (Pittsburgh, PA, Keystone Oaks) collected 8 digs on defense, which was tops on the team.
In the second match, Pitt-Greensburg again fell in three consecutive sets against McDaniel College with scores 25-5, 25-15, and 25-13. Junior
Julie Barron (Somerset, PA, Somerset) and Karlheim lead the team with 4 kills and Misawic led with 10 assists. Bosh led the defense collecting 15 digs. Junior
Lauren Tassone (Venetia, PA, Peters Township) and Senior
Kara Barclay (Newark, OH, Northridge) each had one service ace.
Pitt-Greensburg fell to 0-6 today and will be looking for its first win of the season on the road next Sunday (Sept 20) as they take on Frostburg State in a non-conference matchup.
