Volleyball topped by Frostburg 3-0
Box Score FROSTBURG, MD: The Pitt-Greensburg volleyball team dropped
a non-conference match to Frostburg State University. The team fell to 0-7 as they lost in straight sets against the opposing Bobcats.
Pitt-Greensburg lost the first three consecutive sets with scores 25-16, 25-12, 25-13. The offense provided by Pitt-Greensburg was led by junior
Renee' Ault (Oakmont, PA, Riverview). Ault and junior
Lauren Tassone (Venetia, PA, Peters Township) led the team with 5 kills, while Ault also added 2 service aces. Junior
Paige Misawic (Levittown, PA, Pennsbury) led the team with 9 assists, and freshman
Marla Shaffer (Allentown, PA, Whitehall) racked up 13 digs on the afternoon, which was tops on the team.
Pitt-Greensburg will be looking for its elusive first win of the season in their home opener on Thursday in Chambers Hall against Washington and Jefferson College. The match begins at 7pm.
