LATROBE, Pa: Washington and Jefferson College used Jordan Toohey's four goals to defeat the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon at Latrobe High School, 4-0.
The Presidents are now 1-0-1 on the young season and the Bobcats fall to 0-2.Â
The first half was tightly contested, as W&J had the only tally of the half when Toohey scored on a breakaway in the 21
st minute.
Toohey would add three more goals in the second half to provide insurance for the Presidents.
Kayleen Schwegler (Aliquippa, PA, Hopewell) had two shots on goal to lead the Bobcat attack.
Courtney Carroll (Irwin, PA, Hempfield) and
Brianna Burgunder (Moon Township, PA, Moon) also added one shot on goal each.
Shannon Edwards (Fayetteville, PA, Chambersburg) made 11 saves in net for Pitt-Greensburg.
The Bobcats will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa on Wednesday to play at Highmark Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, to take on Geneva College. Kickoff is at 7:30pm.
