GREENSBURG- The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team defeated Medaille 4-1 on Saturday afternoon in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup at Hempfield High School.
Pitt-Greensburg improves its record to 4-7-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference, while Medaille falls to 0-11 and 0-4 in the AMCC.
The Bobcats outshot the Mavericks 16-5 on the afternoon and held a 9-1 advantage in corner kick opportunities.
Kayleen Schwegler gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead with her eighth goal of the season just three minutes into the match. In the 13
th minute,
Rachel Steinmark took a pass from
Brianna Burgunder and buried a shot into the goal to double the lead for Pitt-Greensburg.
Five minutes into the second half,
Jessica Moore found the back of the net for her third of the season, but Medaille broke then shutout in the 60
th minute on a goal by Kristen Kline.
Moore tallied her second of the afternoon in the 68
th minute as Pitt-Greensburg went on for the 4-1 victory.
Pitt-Greensburg returns to the field Tuesday afternoon for the first of two-straight road matches when it faces La Roche at 2:00 p.m.
