READING, Pa.- The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team fell 2-0 at Albright in a non-conference match on Sunday afternoon at Shirk Stadium.
The Bobcats had a tough time on the offensive end totaling just four shots for the match, but of those four shots they put three on goal. Alright totaled 19 shots and attempted eight shots on net, but in her first start of the season, freshmen goalkeeper Kaitlyn Watson totaled six saves.
Dylan Shipe put Albright on the board with a goal in the 11
th minute, as she corralled a reboundand shot it into the back of the net. With just over 15 minutes remaining in the first 45 minutes of play, Crissy Terraces got on the end of a corner kick from Erica Bross, and Terracces vollied it into the net to put the Lions ahead for good, 2-0.
UPG continued to fight an uphill battle as it went down to 10 players in the 60
th minute as Camille Hickman had to leave the game with an injury. The second half featured no goals from either side and Albright held on for the 2-0 win.
Pitt-Greensburg returns home on Thursday for its next match, when it faces Waynesburg at 6:00 p.m.
