GREENVILLE- The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Thiel in a non-conference matchup on Monday evening at Alumni Stadium.
Katelyn Labos opened the scoring for Thiel in the 16
th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but four minutes later,
Brianna Burgunder tied the game at one, as she headed home a corner kick that was taken by
Rachel Steinmark.
Pitt-Greensburg held a 16-14 advantage in shots for the game, including a 5-1 margin in the second half as well as a 6-3 lead in corner kicks.
Kaitlyn Watson and Kim Gentry were fantastic in goal on the evening, as each player made eight stops over the 110 minutes.
Kayleen Schwegler was a force on offense for the Bobcats firing a game-high four shots, while Burgunder tallied three shots, all of which she forced Gentry to make the save.
Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Saturday (Sept. 24) when it faces Penn State Behrend in its Allegheny Mountain College Conference opener at 1:00 p.m.
