LATROBE, Pa.- The Pitt-Greensburg volleyball team (0-4) fell in straight-sets to Allegheny and Baldwin Wallace in the final two matches at the St. Vincent Bearcat Challenge on Saturday afternoon.

At the conclusion of the tournament, sophomore Megan Kirkpatrick was named to the All-Tournament team for her performances in the four matches play by UPG.

The Bobcats struggled to get their offense going in the first match of the day, falling 25-10, 25-16,25-16 to Allegheny. Lauren Tassone paced the UPG offense with six kills while Autumn Karlheim chipped in with five and Megan Kirkpatrick added four. Defensively, UPG was led by Erica Bosh who was impressive with 15 digs.

UPG finished up the Bearcat challenge and put challenged champion Baldwin Wallace for three sets, but ultimately would come up short falling 25-13, 25-14, and 25-19.

Reneaa Ault totaled eight kills over the three sets to pace UPG, and Tassone and Amanda Ross each chipped in with five.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to the courts next weekend, when it travels to Washington, D.C. to compete in the Catholic University Tournament. UPG will plays two matches on Friday (Sept. 9) and Saturday (Sept. 10).
