Oddis’ Career-Best 36 Points Leads Women’s Basketball Past Pitt-Bradford

GREENSBURG- Kelsey Oddis scored a career-high 36 points to lead the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team (5-11, 4-5 AMCC) to a 75-64 victory over Pitt-Bradford (8-7, 6-3 AMCC) Saturday afternoon in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup inside Chambers Hall.

Oddis' 36 points are the second most in school history, trailing only Allison Bilak's 37, a feat which she set on Feb 9, 2011 at Mt. Aloysius. Oddis knocked down 12-of-her-20 attempts on the afternoon and came up clutch at the free-throw line hitting 10-of-12.

The Bobcats led 39-21 at halftime and played aggressive defense against Bradford holding the visitors to just 23.7% in the first half. Pitt-Greensburg pushed its lead to as high as 23 early on in the second half, but the Panthers came storming back to cut the lead to 14 heading into the final 10 minutes of play.

Bradford continued to chip away at the deficit and would get all the way to within five, 60-55 on Anna Colbert's three-pointer with 3:51 left, but the Bobcats held off the charge as they hit 13-of-16 from the free-throw stripe in the final quarter of action.

Alongside Oddis, Jenna Cole was also in double-figures scoring 19 points and hauling down 13 rebounds. Pitt-Greensburg dominated Bradford on the boards holding a 51-31 advantage and the Bobcats grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and converted them into 15 second chance points.

Casey Hamilton was stout on both sides of the court, as the senior grabbed a game and season-high 14 rebounds. Leading the charge offensively for Pitt-Bradford was Ali Rinfrette as she totaled 21 points on 9-of-32 from the floor.

The Bobcats shot the ball well for much of the afternoon hitting 25-of-54 for a 46.3% clip and helped seal the victory with clutch foul shooting knocking down 23-of-29 from the charity stripe.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Wednesday (Jan 18) as it welcomes Penn State Altoona to Chambers Hall. Tip-off for Wednesday's game is set for 6:00 p.m. This is the second matchup between the two teams as Pitt-Greensburg won the first game 87-76 in Altoona.
