La Roche and Pitt-Greensburg were locked in a tight first set as the two sides traded kills over the opening 10 points of the game. Karlheim's kill got the Bobcats within a point at 8-7, but the Redhawks reeled in three straight points and would go on for the 25-16 win in set one.

However, La Roche came out steaming in the fourth game en route to a .303 hitting percentage as they would take game four, 25-12 and ultimately hold on for a 3-1 victory.
