Nadege Durand each recorded a double-double to lead the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team to a 64-50 victory over Penn State Altoona in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opener Wednesday evening in Chambers Hall.
The victory was the first career win for Pitt-Greensburg head coach

Pitt-Greensburg stands at 1-3 overall and moves to 1-0 in conference play with the win, while Penn State Altoona falls to 2-2 and 0-1 in the AMCC.
Oddis secured her fourth double-double of the year scoring a game-high 20 points and hauling down 16 boards, while Durand had 16 points and 15 rebounds. The Bobcat duo helped Pitt-Greensburg to a dominant 51-31 advantage in the rebounding department, and a 14-9 margin on the offensive glass.
The Bobcats had their best shooting performance of the young season so far, knocking down 25-of-61 from the field for 41.0% and did a great job of defending the Lions, as the visitors shot just 27.1%, hitting 16-of-59.
The sides continued to trade baskets in the opening quarter and a three-pointer from
Sam Ballow gave the Bobcats an 11-8 advantage with just under five minutes left, but a late three by Alexis Stitt gave the Lions a 14-13 advantage heading into the second quarter.
At the beginning of the second stanza, Altoona pushed it leads to 17-13 on a three-pointer from Alexis Cannistraci, but Pitt-Greensburg reeled off a 12-1 run over the next three minutes to take a 26-18 advantage at the halfway mark of the second quarter.The Bobcats led for the remainder of the first half and took a 28-22 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
Pitt-Greensburg came out in the third quarter and pushed its lead to 10 (33-23) on a layup from
Sabre Turner with 8:25 left in the quarter. However, Altoona would not go quietly as it went on a 13-2 run, which was capped by a jumper from Megan Wheeler with 4:45 left in the third quarter.
Turner answered with a layup and Pitt-Greensburg outscored the Lions 10-2 for the remainder of the quarter and led 45-38 heading into the final stanza.
The Bobcats would continue to hold the advantage for the remainder of the game leading by as much as 17 and went on for the 64-50 win.
Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Saturday afternoon as it travels to Buffalo, N.Y. to take on Medaille College at 3 pm.
