Men's Tennis Rolls Past Pitt-Bradford

BRADFORD- The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 victory over Pitt-Bradford in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opener Saturday afternoon. 

Pitt-Greensburg jumped out to a commanding 3-0 lead after posting victories in all three doubles matches. The Bobcats kept the momentum going in singles play, picking up wins in five of the six singles matches. 

The pairing of Turner Price and Vaughn Hunkele rolled to an 8-5 victory at #1 doubles, while Michael Meyer and Terrance Madarish won 9-7 at #2 doubles. Andrew Oden and Francisco Garcia made it a clean sweep with an 8-1 win at #3 doubles. 

Price made quick work at #1 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Meyer made it looked easy at #2 singles, 6-2, 6-1 and Hunkele did not allow a point at #3 singles, as the sophomore won 6-0, 6-0. Oden and Garcia pulled off wins in the #5 and #6 matches. Oden won 6-4, 6-1 at #5 singles followed by Garcia, who won 6-2, 6-0. 

Friday's match concludes the fall portion of the season for Pitt-Greensburg, and the Bobcats will return to action in the Spring with their first match against W&J on March 1 at 5:30 pm.
