Men's Tennis Drops Season Opener To Geneva

Box Score GREENSBURG- The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team dropped it season opener 9-0 to Geneva College Saturday afternoon at the Greensburg Racquet Club. 

Geneva opened with wins in all three doubles matches and claimed straight-set victories in all six singles matches. 

At #3 doubles, the pairing of Jeremy Simms and Michael Rosky pushed Caleb Hoal and Alex Greissinger to the brink, but it was the Golden Tornado duo that eventually came out on top 8-6. 

Vaughan Hunkele and Oliver Robinson each competed in their first collegiate matches for the Bobcats. Hunkele dropped the top singles match 6-2, 6-0 to Nate Heidengren and Robinson battled in the #3 spot, but came up on the short end, falling 6-1, 6-1. 

Pitt-Greensburg returns to the court next Friday (March 2) when it travels to Washington and Jefferson. First serve against the Presidents is scheduled for 4 pm.
